Love Means Never Having to Say Sorry

By Heart

You’re asked to recite a poem (or song lyrics) from memory — what’s the first one that comes to mind? Does it have a special meaning, or is there another reason it has stayed, intact, in your mind?

Where do I begin?
To tell the story of how great a love can be

My schoolmate (now a successful doctor) spontaneous rendition when we were out on a retreat with matching hand gestures mimicking violin playing … the song was never finished, never gone beyond the first two lines after the humming intro because we all burst out laughing.

He played the song next to me during breakfast and stuck ever since. We never became an item but I love him as a person and happy of what he has become.

Because of this song I also have my “all time favorite” romantic movie — Love Story
