Weekend Starts Now

Ready, Set, Done

Our weekly free-write is back: take ten minutes — no pauses! — to write about anything, unfiltered and unedited. You can then publish the post as-is, or edit a bit first — your call.

It’s the weekend, at least in my side of the world and I am getting all prep up for a weekend of meetings and family gathering. When I thought I am not busy because I don’t have work I find myself always on the go if not out of the house at least here in the net doing everything and anything.

Meeting people is never a challenge for me but arranging the meeting always is … I don’t say I am not difficult too sometimes but when you’re the one doing all the calling and organizing it can be (a) terrible headache. Maybe because I don’t have a timeline to follow — I have no deadlines, I have no boss, all I have is free time to do what I like to do and others couldn’t be bothered with my lack of “regular kind of grind”.

At least for family get together you don’t really plan it … you throw in food in the grill, cold drinks in the tub and call in everybody, by lunch time extended well into dinner people will come, no problem arranging anything. At the end of the day (most likely on a Sunday) all I have are dishes that needs cleaning and bones for the dogs to keep on picking.

So what’s in it for me then? an ice cold beer and a good movie would be a good way to cap my would be weekend before I start another week next.
